Extended Summer 

This weather has been so awesome, I'm enjoying every extra minute of Sunshine. I have wonderful plans for the day *as you can see by the picture*. I'll tell you guys all about my day on the Boardwalk. Have an amazing day and get out and enjoy the sun... See you tomorrow, smooches😙

Artistic Expression 

Oh yes, I love artistic photography, it's a truly beautiful artform. Artistic expression is a must in the Fashion and Beauty industry. The saying "A picture is worth a thousand words" could not be more true. Take this picture for instance, the backdrop, the styling and my body language say that I'm confident, beautiful and strong. When it comes to artistic expression, individuality is key. You must be sure of yourself and willing to take fashion and artistic risks. Black and white and greyscale photography is so expressive, it's like the photographer captures the mood and feelings of the subject. Photography is more than snapping a picture or finding the right light, it's an actual artform. When I began blogging I learned that a great photo takes alot of thought and feeling, there are actual stories behind every picture we take. It's so amazing to look at a photo and instantly remember where you were, how you felt and what you were thinking at the time the photo was taken, it's actually pretty awesome when you think about it. Well, I guess I'll grab my camera and see what magnificent scenes  I can capture.... Smooches😘

Macaroons and weekend vibes

That's right my friends, it's Friday and it's going to be a marvelous weekend. I don't know what your plans are but make them great. This weekend I'll be visiting a few restaurants in my city just to see what's on the menu, Yummy. Then I'm going to a Fashion show and Sunday is church and family dinner. Have a fabulous weekend my loves... have a Macaroon on me😊

Freedom Wall

How amazing is this Mural. This is just one of many paintings on the "Freedom Wall" in Buffalo NY. The wall showcases National as well as Local activists who have been instrumental in change and advancement in the African American community. Some of the most phenomenal leaders are immortalized on this wall, from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to Shirley Chisholm to W.E.B Dubois as well as many others. The wall was completed by several local artists who have forever left their mark on this beautiful city. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the phenomenal Artist, the humility of this amazing person left me speechless. As I rode pass one day as they were working tirelessly on this Mural, it began to rain so I thought to myself he's gonna stop...  but he didn't, he kept right on painting. This not only showed his perseverance but also his passion, not only for his work but for the meaning behind what he was working on. Now, in its completed state it is absolutely awesome. The "Freedom Wall" is a must see and must visit vision of beauty. If you're ever in Buffalo NY, stop by the wall and take a picture, the image will be everlasting.

It's a chill kinda day

Yep, I'm chilling today, I've got my sneakers on and a comfy pair of jeans... Yeah baby. I've got a few errands to run and then it's time to chill out. We all need some down time, time to do absolutely nothing and like it😉. A facial, a mani-pedi or simply a good book and your favorite cup of tea it's all about relaxing and giving yourself a little attention, hey you're worth it😙. Personal time is appreciated and necessary for a healthy and successful life. Do something special for yourself... You deserve it darling 😚. Now it's time for me to chillax, smooches💋

Fashion Repetition 

What's up cool cats and groovy chicks, hope you dig my outfit. OK, OK enough of the jive talk 😄, it's time to talk about the repetitiveness of Fashion. First let me say how much I love retro and vintage styling it's so unique and beautiful. If I could wear styles from the seventies and eighties on a daily basis I most definitely would (and will, watch me😉). I love all eras of Fashion, the ladylikeness of the 50's and 60's, the boldness of the 70's, Fun of the 80's, Sass of the 90's (y'all know I can go on and on😆)  I'm sure you get the point. Fashion is forever repeating itself, if it didn't what would we wear! This is one reason why our closets are ever increasing because we don't want to get rid of anything for fear it will soon come back in "Style". Take this photo for instance, sure I look like an extra from a 70's sitcom but this style is back in full effect. The Jean jumper complete with wideleg bottoms, natural hair and a cool Leopard print jacket, I'm feeling like a groovy gal y'all. So before you toss out those clothes from long ago, just place them in the back of your closet until they come back in style, No need to buy it when you'll already have it. That's the cool thing about owning your own unique Style you never need to wait for a trend to wear what you like... Know what I'm sayin'😙

Autumn Awe

Falling leaves, Pumpkins, Cinnamon spice and Crisp air... Hello Fall, glad to see ya! So as you can see I'm all for Fall, I got a chance to hang out in the hay today and I was ecstatic about it. I've always loved the Fall season because it leads up to my favorite time of year....Christmas❤. I know, I know "Lola, let's enjoy one season at a time" I get it but I'm a sucker for all things Christmas (after Halloween, the countdown begins😄)  I guess I'll focus on the season at hand, Hello Autumn. There are so many wonderful ways to celebrate the crisp new season, a hayride, visiting the pumpkin patch, having a spice latte at your favorite coffee shop or putting on a nice pot of cinnamon spice tea as you watch the falling leaves (or you could just go shopping and pretend you're outside kicking up the freshly fallen leaves as you sip your tea😄). However you decide to celebrate the season make sure you're fashion ready, a cool pair of jeans, comfy sweater and your favorite pair of boots and you're Fall prepared. I love a great outfit but my number one must have is comfort, especially in cooler months. Well, I've got my latte and this hay feels like a comfy couch... See you guys tomorrow...
